Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship

NOTE: This course is exclusively available to existing employees of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust

Our Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship is a two-year, full-time programme designed for nursing associates who are already employed within healthcare settings and wish to progress to become a registered nurse. Delivered in partnership with The University of Sunderland, the programme combines academic study with work-based learning, enabling apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC).

Throughout the programme, apprentices remain employed by Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, completing their learning and placements across trust locations while being supported by both the trust and the university.

Recruitment to the apprenticeship happens once a year between August and October for an April start.

You can find out more about the programme in the booklet below.
